The lads behind the Doom Patrol podcast Waiting For Doom, Mike and Paul, recently added a second show to their feed, alternating with the previously weekly DP index episodes. The new strand is DCOCD, in which they discuss DC events of the past. A general discussion is followed by the giving of points out of 10 in various categories: Eventiness (of course it’s a word!), writing, art and legacy. The idea is to score out of 100 points, but two guys scoring out of a possible 40 doesn’t allow 100 to be hit, so Paul and Mike ask a guest to contribute their points, then halve them – they’re the Semi-OCD.
That was my function in the latest episode, though I wasn’t playing with the Aussie WFD chaps, but North American blogpals Dr Anj of Supergirl Comic Box Commentary and Diabolu Frank of J’onn J’onnz site The Idol Head of Diabolu. They took over the show because Paul and Mike didn’t believe the seminal Wonder Woman run by William Messner-Loebs and Mike Deodato Jr was within the remit of the show.
