‘Kneel before Zod!’
Is there a more memorable demand from a super-criminal? But the Phantom Zone baddie had been around for years before we heard that iconic line.
Superman fan supreme Anthony Desiato is looking at General Zod through the years and in different media in episodes of his Digging For Kryptonite podcast. In this week’s first episode it’s Zod from his humble Silver Age beginnings, through his better Bronze Age showings, and on to Terence Stamp’s unforgettable big-screen incarnation.
Then Anthony talks to Perry Constantine about the post-Crisis Zods and pseudo-Zods – John Byrne’s Pocket Dimension villain, TV fill-ins, the Pokolistan dictator and more. It’s a terrific chat, full of insight and opinion.
If you’re a Superman fan, give us a listen, you can find the show on Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and Spotify. And if you didn’t hear our previous diacussions of Supergirl and Pete Ross, do I have some podcast shows for you… just click on the hyperlinks earlier in this very sentence!
